We were already deep in the nail world. Candy Coat (our parent company) had been creating professional colours for nail artists, salons and creatives for years — colours worn by people who really knew what they were doing.

And I kept thinking about everyone else.

The women who loved nails just as much but didn't have a salon setup at home. Who wanted beautiful gel but didn't want the mess, the complicated kits, the steep learning curve. Who just wanted something fun to do — a little moment in their week that was just for them.

Why should gorgeous gel nails only be for people who already knew how?

So in 2019 I created Candy Stix. Real gel, in a pen. Shake it, twist it, paint it. No base coat, no separate top coat, no brushes to clean, no mess to deal with. Just you and your colour. Handmade with love, made in the UK, made to make you smile.

I made it fun on purpose. Over thirty shades, each one named after a character with her own story. Collecting them is part of the joy — finding your everyday shade, your going-out shade, the one you weren't sure about but now can't live without.

In 2026 twenty million people found us on TikTok. And I'm still as excited about it as I was on day one — because every person who tries Candy Stix and thinks "why didn't I find this sooner" is exactly who I made it for.

This is only the beginning. There is so much more to come.
